The Christmas Bomber
By Rp3 on Dec 29, 2009 | In Politics, Life
So the more we learn the more I realise we should not close gitmo. Of course it doesn't matter that two of the terrorists that were released a while back were the one of the people this X-Mas terrorist communicated with, we will still close gitmo.
Yes because of an idiotic promise the Prez made we are going to continue down the path of closing gitmo. Well I hope he doesn't but we know he will. Have to playcate the extreme leftist of course.
Also the d00ds dad told the consulate that this guy might do this, and yet we still can't keep it from happening. I am thankful he must have failed terrorist 101 as he wasn't able to ignite his crotch bomb.
I also think it is time for profiling, to hell with the ACLU who thinks it's racial, or it removes peoples rights or it's against the constitution, etc.. Last time I checked this guy wasn't American so he doesn't get constitution rights, etc.. If profiling stops or catches one bomber it is definately worth it. It's not complicated.
I am so sick of PC type talk and actions, it's time to take this problem by the balls and fix it. The only way to do that is to piss some people off on the way, it is what it is. JUST DO IT. But alas we have a pres who would never do that, he is too concerned about how the world (notice how I didn't say US) thinks of him, hell he already got the peace prize... He would never do something that would 'upset' a group or 'offend' a set of people, unless of course if he could just do it for Republicans, then he probably would.
Happy New Year....

Happy First Week of 2010...#SuperCross is here!!!
By Rp3 on Jan 9, 2010 | In MotorSports (Nascar, F1, Bikes..), Life
Well well well, the first week of the new year has come and gone so what actually happened? Lets see...
I almost got stuck in Chicago, the weather there is horrible, still don't understand why people live there.
I left Chicago to come home to Houston, and low and behold it's freaking 24 outside? WTF?
Work is back to normal, well if you call what I do normal.
Had to change a doctor appt, due to the fact I have to go to Chicago next week, see previous Statement.
One of my computers mysteriously changed IP's for no reason that I can tell. So my home website broke.
I finished Jeff Somers book (The Electric Church), and it was pretty good. I will read more.
AMA SuperCross is upon us with Anaheim 1, (A1). This should be fun to watch tonight. Go Kevin Windham!
Did I say it is below freezing in Houston? Global Warming my ass! (19 right now!)
BHO is still president. One more Terrorist Attack, and I agree with Bill O. His Presidency will be done!
Got my 90mm Macro Tamron lens this week and took my first macro shots... This is going to be fun, HERE
Decided to cut back on my Diet Coke w/Lime intake and just do water. Once my supply is gone...JOY.
Nascar is getting closer. YES, I can't wait.
The Texans had a wining season for the first time, and almost made the playoffs. Congrats 9-7!!!!
Hmm not sure I like the blockquote thing, but what the hell, no one reads this thing anyway...
.. I am just talking to myself....
Ok everyone (as we established, thats no one) have a great year, I will try to blog more (to myself) as I go...

My Dad's RC Plane maiden voyage... Video/Pics...
By Rp3 on Aug 9, 2009 | In Fun (Web, Movies, Life, etc..), Life
So as I wrote about in my earlier post, I and my Mom got my dad a RC Plane for his Birthday. So now the batter is charged, and the plane is together. It's time to take it out and give it a fly. Here is my dad before the fun started..

I also took some videos and below you will find them.

The last flight ended in a huge tree about 1/4 mile away. We had to leave a letter for the home owner to call my dad so we could climb on the house to retrieve it. Well the nice lady called the next morning and I headed over with ladder and pole in tow. I got on the roof and eventually got the plane out of the tree. Once we got it out, we looked it over and decided it was fine, did I say these things are tough?, and decided to take it home and charge the battery. 1 hour later it was my turn to give it a flight. I was rather successful for a couple flights, then while trying to bank a turn I nosed it into the pavement big time. It really tore up the front end. But we gathered it up, and took it back to his house for investigation, 20 or so dollars later we had the parts needed to fix it on order. WOW, these things are pretty tough. He is busy this week, so when the parts get in we should be able to fly next weekend.
I might have to get one

Gary says he wants to get one too

So today is my Dad's b-day.

So today is my dad's bday and I got him a new toy. Hell when your dad is 79 it's hard to find something he needs, right? So you resort to toy's and techno gadgets. Last year for Fathers day my mom and me got him a wireless weather station with all the extras. He loves it, yet another great gift.
So on to his Bday present. I got him THIS. A buddy and myself have talked about getting into RC Planes. When I was talking to my dad about it, I could tell on the phone he was excited for me, as he used to play back in the day, he even still has some of the old stuff in the garage. My how things have changed..
My buddy has flown them before, I have never ventured into this mess, as I don't want to spend 4-8 hours building something only to crash it and destroy it in 5 mins. Oh but wait, this was my thinking years ago, today this stuff is pretty strong and durable. This plane I got my dad is made of foam, and replacement parts are readily available. We might give it a go tonight, or tomorrow. Not sure just yet. If all goes well, I am sure I will delve into the realm of RC Planes. He can't have one that is fun, and I not have one of course. You know the guy and toy thing right? Yes, he who has the most toys wins. Period..
So happy Birthday Dad, I hope you like your present! I hope to get more like it in the years to come.. ![]()
Maybe some pictures later...hopefully of a plane flying of course...
Racing Chair, #Nascar
By Rp3 on Oct 5, 2009 | In MotorSports (Nascar, F1, Bikes..), Life
So I finally got around to finishing my Racing Chair for my PS3, this idea came about when I saw a post about building a chair specifically for racing on your PC or your PS3. Well I saw this idea about 1 year ago. Back then the most important thing to get was the seat or the chair so it was off to the Car Junk Yard. I went first and found a couple seats that I thought would be good for the setup. SO the next weekend Gary and I went and removed it from the car, and I paid 20 bux for it. Step one complete. Step two find a place near by where I could buy the steel needed to build this thing. Well Gary found a place on the way to his Farm and a couple months later I had the steel stock I needed to build this chair. Fast forward about 1 year, and now we are at the present time. As you can see it sometimes takes me a while to get to my projects, but I seem to eventually get there. I finished the chair yesterday and I got a couple shots of it... I have to say for my first steel/welding project it came out pretty freaking nice... HERE this is a shot of it almost done, thats it fully primer-ed. Here is the final with me sitting in it with wheel and pedals mounted...
HERE.
I didn't resize the pics so you will have to click on the links to seem them, sorry about that.
I will test it today, didn't get a chance to yesterday as there were lots of Nascar and Football games on...
Chow..
